Assignment 4 - James 1:12-15

Do you best to arc James 1:12-15 by following these steps:

  1. Create a new arc using the "Discourse" module.
  2. Split each verse into propositions.
  3. In the "MINE" column, paraphrase each proposition. This will sometimes help determine what the relationship should be.
  4. Build your arcs and add your labels.
  5. Finish up by writing the "Main point summary" that's located directly under the passage reference.

In addition to completing your arc, make a note of anything that stands out as unique or unclear. If something is unclear, maybe look it up in a few online commentaries. If something is unique, it may be important, so chew on it. If you are having trouble with a particular relationship, arc it how you think you should be, leave it for a while, think about it, and come back to it later. You may see a different relationship after looking at it a second or third time.
